Payment dates for benefit months January through December 2024. Compensation is paid in arrears; weekends and federal holidays move the payment to the preceding business day.

These dates are calculated from the official VA weekend/holiday rule and the OPM holiday calendar. Early deposit offered by a bank is not a different VA entitlement date.
A few useful answers
Why are there sometimes two VA payments in one calendar month?
A payment scheduled for the first of the next month may move back to the last business day of this month. Each payment still covers a different entitlement month.
Is January’s benefit paid on January 1?
No. January compensation normally arrives February 1, adjusted for weekends and holidays. The January 1 scheduled deposit covers December benefits.
